President Trump traveled to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware Saturday morning to pay his respects to four Americans killed in Syria by a suicide bomber last week, and to meet privately with the families of the fallen. Trump was accompanied by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan.

This was Trump’s second visit to Dover. The first was in February 2017 for the return of a Navy SEAL killed in Yemen.

The return of the Americans to Dover was overshadowed by other news this past weekend. Below is a recap:
